Madison Heights Baptist Church is in need of a church van, and for the best reason!
In 2021, the Baptist & Reflector wrote a wonderful piece about how Madison Heights grew during the pandemic by reaching out to the apartment complexes near them. Ladies at the church began taking meals to apartments they could reach by foot. Then church members tutored children while the schools were using remote learning. By Christmas of 2020, the church used children from the neighborhood to tell the Chistmas story, though some of them had never heard it before.
“What we are hoping", Pastor Ray Marin said at the time, “is that what we have done in one apartment complex, we can do in another one. We have the blueprint. We want to copy it and take it to other apartment complexes. God has above and beyond stepped in and blessed us as we have joined his activity.”

Today, this ministry has grown to need transportation.
“Like many churches within the NBA, Madison Heights learned to adjust to how we ministered during the pandemic,” They write to us. “One way in which we were successfully able to adjust was by going outside the four walls of our church facility. We took a simple approach of taking the gospel to our neighbors but being intentional to reach all those within walking distance.”
“As a result, we now have a wonderful children’s ministry in which church members walk the children to church from the local apartment buildings. We have had much success, but now face the next challenge of doing the same in the neighboring apartments.”
“Our next challenge is transportation. We are asking our NBA churches if they are in the process of trading or retiring a van or shuttle bus to please contact us. We look forward to the many lives changed as we reach others in the neighboring apartments of our community with the Gospel!”
