Pray for Nepal: Churches Respond to Families Affected by Flooding
Recent flooding in Nepal has left churches and families facing significant needs. In response, our local Nepali church is organizing a fundraising effort to provide assistance to those affected by the flooding.
As believers, we have the opportunity to stand alongside our brothers and sisters in Nepal through prayer, compassion, and generosity. While thousands of miles may separate Nashville from Nepal, the body of Christ reminds us that when one part suffers, we are called to care for one another.
Churches and individuals are invited to join in praying for the families who have been affected and for the churches seeking to serve their communities during this difficult time.
How You Can Pray
Please join us in praying:
- For families affected by the flooding — Pray for those who have lost homes, possessions, livelihoods, or loved ones. Ask God to provide shelter, food, safety, and comfort.
- For churches in Nepal — Pray that local congregations will have the strength and resources they need to care for their neighbors and demonstrate the love of Christ.
- For pastors and ministry leaders — Ask God to give them wisdom, endurance, and opportunities to minister to people who are hurting.
- For relief and recovery efforts — Pray that needed resources will reach affected communities quickly and that damaged homes and communities can begin to recover.
- For gospel hope — Pray that in the midst of suffering, believers will faithfully point people to the hope and compassion found in Jesus Christ.
Our church partner also welcomes those who would like to participate in the fundraising effort to assist churches and families in Nepal.
May the churches of Middle Tennessee continue to be people who pray for the nations, care for those who are suffering, and stand alongside our brothers and sisters in Christ around the world.
If you want to support the two Nepali Baptist churches in Nashville, I can put you in touch with them.
