From Calling to Church Planting
The TBMB & NBA Guide Four Couples Through a Church Planting Assessment
Church planting is one of the most effective ways to advance the gospel, especially in a growing city like Nashville. With new residents arriving every year, healthy churches play a vital role in reaching communities with the hope of Christ. As Jesus reminds us:
“The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.”
Matthew 9:37–38 (NLT)
Last month, the TBMB hosted a church planter assessment, and the NBA was grateful to join the journey. Four couples, each sensing God’s call to start new works, participated in the process. They engaged with experienced pastors and leaders who offered personal feedback, encouragement, and support.
The assessment explored several key areas: calling, spiritual and emotional health, family dynamics, vision, leadership, communication, missional engagement, disciple-making, and social skills. Each couple received a personalized report outlining their strengths, areas for growth, and practical next steps toward planting healthy churches.
The NBA remains committed to walking alongside planters by providing coaching, resources, and encouragement to see churches multiply across Tennessee. We are praying for these couples, asking God to guide, strengthen, and sustain them as they lead new congregations.
Are you curious about how your church can become a multiplying church here in Nashville, across Tennessee, and even around the world? We would love to walk with you and explore how God might use your church to reach more people with the gospel.
“Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.”
Mark 16:15 (NLT)
