Rising from a challenging upbringing and a self‑made entrepreneurial path—including early ventures like flipping couches—he built Beacon Turf from just a few hundred dollars into a multi‑million‑dollar operation.

Dr. C.M. Teague is a born‑again Christ follower, licensed professional counselor, educator, and founder of Overcome/Teague & Associates. He integrates biblical wisdom with psychological science, believing that spiritual practices such as love, faith, prayer, fasting, forgiveness, and truth support healing and growth. At Middle Tennessee State University, he teaches psychology and mentors students in research, striving to be a positive and approachable presence in their lives. In private practice, he provides spiritually informed counseling to adolescents, adults, and couples. His work includes published research on developmental trauma, family dynamics, and educational motivation, as well as the authorship of six books. Across all roles, Dr. Teague remains committed to truth, compassion, conviction, and the empowerment of individuals and families.
